• Question: When you were a Car Mechanic, how/where did you start?

      I started in a little garage up the road from where I lived (sadly it closed last year). I had been in the garage before when a family member needed their car fixed.
      I walked up to the garage during my summer holidays and asked if I could work with them. They were happy for me to work with them for the summer holidays and on and off during my school time.
      In the garage I started by just watching and learning what the mechanics were doing and then undersupervision changing tires, brake pads and just kept learning like that. It was a great summer holiday and helped me fix my car when I learned to drive.
