My motivation is the benefit that the technology I’m working on will have when it’s done. It’s what gets me out of bed when I just can’t be bothered to do any work. This project is my responsibility and if I don’t do it, then who will? If no one does it then how are we doing to be able to develop a technology to improve the lives of amputees?

The work I do helps further research, that goes on into technology and medicine that helps us all.

It’s a nice feeling knowing what you do goes on to the “greater good” of society

Also making things that move around and look cool is sooooo much fun!

Right now I’m doing my doctorate, so my motivation is that I’m going to be called a Doctor !!!! haha I’m joking 😀 to think about all the things that can be build/inventend/ improved by using my work, keeps me motivated. To think that my work has a positive impact keeps me happy and motivated. Hopefully, we all have a positive impact on others’ lives. Just choose what you love to do, then it’s not hard to keep yourself motivated

My motivation is knowing that sewers impact people lives more than we think, and that what I am doing helps everyone in their daily life (literally think how many times we clean something and that produces dirty water a day or use the toilet!)

And knowing that what I help create, design or investigate can protect and save lives, such as stopping blockages, bursts or flooding occurring. It’s an important job that means I’m able to provide a basic necessity for people to live easily and safe.
