• Question: What is the most interesting part in researching prosthetics?

      Narrowing that down to just one thing is difficult! I think for me, it’s got to be combining the engineering principles and what would be “best” in terms of engineering with the people side of the work. In the end, something that is a great piece of engineering, may not be useful for those we’re designing the technology for. It could be too expensive or it might not solve the really important issues for people using the prosthetic limbs. Combining the priorities of the people and the medicine with the engineering leads to so many solutions and ideas that you wouldn’t necessarily get if you thought about them all in isolation.
