It’s exciting and difficult and hard work and satisfying all at the same time! There are so many words to describe it because researching artificial limbs is so varied. Day to day is different and even week to week is. Research evolves as you do it, so I couldn’t tell you specifically what I’m going to be doing in 3 months time. Though I can tell you that on Wednesday I have a meeting with a company to show them the technology I’ve been working on. Artificial Limbs is on the boundary of medicine and engineering so I get the benefits (and struggles!) of both areas. I get to work with people but I also get time to myself to create things. I get to be in the lab and also do computational work. There’s so much to do and I get to navigate through them to find the best solutions to the problems at hand.
