I love that my job is different everyday. That there are such a variety of things that I have to do that I’m very rarely bored. If I’m not in the mood to do some writing and analysis one day, I can go to the workshop and work on making the technology. Or if I want some alone time, I can spend the day coding to create the computational part of my project. Other days I want to spend time being a bit more sociable and I might do some work which is with some other people to get feedback or create something together. There are so many different things I enjoy doing that I can pick and choose depending on what suits my mood.

Variety, being asked to make the most odd things!

Also learning new skills, and science and other info through the kit I make

Problem-solving and coming up with new ideas. I like how my days are not the same, if it was I would be very bored. I love that I have loads of clever and experienced people around me, so I can learn from them. I love how I can do things that have never been done before, it’s so rewarding to make something and see it have a positive impact in the world.

      The varied type of work.
Going out on site and looking down manholes and seeing what happens in sewers ( I have see quite a few fatbergs!)
Doing calculations to build and design things that can be really small or massive, but are ultimately really beneficial to people and help make the environment safe.
