• Question: Is related to engineering work experience an essential when applying for a engineer job.

      I didn’t do it, but I think it would definitely help a lot with both impressing your future employer, and also to help you to understand what you enjoy doing more. you can get a placement year when you are doing your undergraduate degree, where you find a job in industry for one year, and then you go back to continue your degree. sometimes you might even get an offer from the company that you did your placement at for after you finish your degree

      I don’t think it’s compulsory, but it will never hurt you to have experience in the area of work you wish to get a full time job in. Especially as more and more people are getting work experience. If it’s not possible though, it doesn’t mean that you won’t get a job. You’ll just have to showcase your skills and interests in other ways.
